Wizkid Reacts To New Baby Controversy

Following the aftermath of reports that pop sensation, Ibrahim Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid has fathered his second child outside wedlock, the singer’s management has swiftly reacted.


News of the singer’s alleged second child – named Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun Jnr – delivered by US based Guinean vixen, Binta Diamond Diallo surfaced on several news platforms yesterday, January 25, 2016.

In reacting to the reports, the singer’s management claim Wizkid is currently single following his break up with his longtime girlfriend, Tania Omotayo and focused on his music. “News getting to us is that Tania broke up with Wiz a while ago but both parties agreed to be friendly towards each other.”

“Nonetheless, she kept her distance from him and missed a lot of his events and performances over the Christmas holidays. She went on vacation with her friends in Dubai during his industry night event. Wizkid was probably trying to win her back when he tweeted “T baby forever” sometime ago, perhaps he was trying to work things out,” the statement reads.

On if Wizkid truly fathered the newborn, the management team disclosed that “Wiz still hasn’t confirmed any news about him having another child…We know he’s single and he’ll be releasing his EP next month.”

While it remains to be verified if indeed the baby Binta Diallo delivered few days ago actually belongs to Wizkid, the baby mama has since edited her post where she announced the name of her baby. Binta edited the name Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun to an acronym, AIB following series of congratulatory and inquisitive comments shared on her thread.

Wizkid who is usually vocal on social media has kept mum on the issue. The pop star welcomed his first child, Boluwatife, with Sola Ogudugu, in 2011.
