The match, played between Nigerian All-Stars and World All-Stars, held at the Adokiye Amiesiamaka Stadium in Port Harcourt to celebrate Yobo, who made 101 caps for the Super Eagles.
Some of Africa’s finest stars, including Samuel Eto’o, Sulley Muntari, Stephen Appiah, Lomana Lualua and Laryea Kingston were around for the occasion, with Nigerian greats Vincent Enyeama, Nwankwo Kanu, Austin Okocha, Mutiu Adepoju, Austin Eguavoen and Ben Iroha also suiting up for the day.
Current Super Eagles players Ahmed Musa, Godfrey Oboabona, Efe Ambrose and Joel Obi also played for Team Nigeria. Team Nigeria was coached by Amodu Shaibu and Samson Siasia, while Team World was coached by David Moyes and Fanny Amun.
The match eventually ended 5-4, with goals from Emmanuel Emenike, Samuel Eto’o, and even actor Osita Iheme.
