President Buhari Says He Won’t Be Petroleum Minister Anymore

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari won’t occupy the office of the minister of petroleum speculated earlier on.

Reports filed by The Oil and Gas Year states that an anonymous spokesperson for the presidency gave confirmation that Mr President will leave the ministerial office unoccupied and will only play a supervisory role.

“There will be no petroleum minister. Maybe he will appoint a minister of state, which is a junior minister” according to the anonymous spokesperson.

All we can do right now is to wait and see how things unfold in the coming days.
